“Blue has no dimensions; it is beyond dimensions, whereas the other colors are not... All colors arouse specific associative ideas.. while blue suggests at most the sea and sky, and they, after all, are in actual, visible nature what is most abstract.” - Yves Klein With the concept of International Klein blue (IKB), the design used IKB as the main color to break through the limit and explore the unknown. The black and white linear illustration is jointly created with local young artists, it integrates the elements of Macau culture and daily fitness to add more visual interests and artistic touch to the design, creating its own fashion culture. From glass to cement, neon lights to grid panels, the materials used in the design brings out the aesthetic conflicts between transparent and rough, vintage and avant-garde, in order to create its own material design language. Furthermore, floor-to-ceiling windows are used to bring natural light to the space. The light tubes from the false ceiling creates a bright and intertwined light and shadow effects through the grid panels, and together with the vintage pink neon lights, they create an open, bright and dynamic sports space.
