Every lunar new year, luxury brands launch special products on this theme. But most of them simply add elements of Chinese red or Chinese Zodiac, which is controversial in the society. "Western Luxury in the East" takes the wooden handbag as an example to rethink how to combine western luxury goods with graphics and handicrafts in East Asian culture. This allows consumers to gain a higher cultural identity. In addition, when using animal leather to make bags, animals may suffer a lot because people want to obtain complete animal skin. Using wood veneers as raw material can reduce the cruel killing of animals.
