A completely new composite structure forms the heart of VDL New Gen Citea's concept in combination with the fact that it is solely developed for electric propulsion. These clear choices make for a truly convincing vehicle concept: number of passengers, driver and environmental benefit. Exterior design is aimed at merging optimally in cityscape. Architecture was an inspiration (rather than automotive design). For the interior, inspiration was drawn from 'public space'. The driver's area design was developed towards future legislation and inclusivity, offering the best workplace for all.
