"u MATTER" focuses on the stigma of mental health. Mental health in Singapore has always been seen in a negative light. Studies in have shown mental health in all demographics are rising and Covid-19 Pandemic has exacerbated these issues. Typically, people with mental health issues are still treated as “outcasts”. Our Lilypad installation represents the mental health challenges people experience. The feelings of those who suffer on their own. The lotus represents “Hope”, “Rebirth” and “Enlightenment”. We believe it is our responsibility as One Singapore, to include rather than ostracize those that face mental health challenges. It is our hope that through this interactive installation the general public will walk away feeling a sense of mindfulness, compassion, empathy, enlightenment and inclusivity. "u MATTER"
