The average high school student in South Korea spends around 14 hours of their day in school or group tutors or academies called hagwons. Their day starts around 8 AM and ends at 10 PM, with consecutive hagwons scheduled right after school until they return home to do more schoolwork. Middle to high school students aged 13-19 get an average of only 5.5 hours of sleep every night and report the highest stress out of 30 developed nations. The Meditation Cabins are on outdoor rooftops to provide the best environment possible. It has small windows to allow sunlight to come in, with the biggest window facing the cabin’s user. The cabin is slanted to allow the maximum amount of sunlight to come in and is slightly elevated for the user to take their shoes off at the entrance. It provides a safe space while feeling open for anyone to use without feeling claustrophobic.
