The CMF Sample Kit is designed for product designers and developers across various fields to directly observe CMF samples made from multiple materials and processes, facilitating the learning of manufacturing techniques for application in projects in practice. This kit is divided into four design themes and thirty detailed topics based on design trend research, consisting of CMF design samples that apply materials and process technologies and finishing techniques usable across various industries. It includes fundamental material properties of plastics, metals, rubbers, fabrics, and eco-friendly materials, as well as information on diverse surface treatments like coating, printing, foaming, etching, deposition, and anodizing. The CMF sample chips comprise one base part and four pattern chips. The base part displays various surface effects and shapes, including glossy, matte, fine corrosion, rough corrosion, flat, curved, R-values, C-values, embossed, and debossed, while the four types of pattern chips (basic, geometric, wave line, and square quilting) allow for comparison of the diversity of CMF effects according to the pattern. Designed with a modular structure that enables placing pattern chips on the base part, it offers an experience that makes it easy to compare colors and textures through various combinations.
