TrachCare is a device installed at the tracheostomy site to detect internal airway blockages and leakage and alert caregivers. Tracheostomy patients may experience issues related to tube blockage, displacement, and secretion, which can be challenging for caregivers to monitor. TrachCare integrates acid-responsive color-changing fiber gauze and stretchable ultrasonic array imaging technology to instantly detect airway blockages and tube dislodgment. It provides alerts through red and yellow lights along with audible alarms. The gauze changes color to red or blue based on the pH of wound secretions, aiding in the early identification of inflammation and infection. TrachCare is compact and easy to install. It is suitable for hospitals, care facilities, and home use, offering continuous protection for tracheostomy patients.
