Journey Walker reimagines senior mobility through a thoughtful blend of ergonomic design, assistive technology, and user-centered innovation. Developed in response to insights from in-depth interviews and shadowing studies with older adults, the device addresses both physical and cognitive challenges of aging. Conventional mobility aids often fall into two extremes: walking frames that require physical strength but offer limited range, and powered vehicles that enable distance but reduce physical activity. Journey Walker bridges this gap with a hybrid design that supports both active walking and effortless transportation. More than a tool for movement, Journey Walker is a lifestyle companion. It encourages outdoor activity, social connection, and mental stimulation—all essential elements for healthy aging. By restoring autonomy and reducing anxiety, it enables seniors to explore confidently and live with renewed purpose. Journey Walker introduces a new category of micro-mobility—one that values empowerment, accessibility, and well-being, redefining what it means to age actively and gracefully.
