Reunion is an eco-friendly funeral project that reimagines how we honor and remember the deceased. As traditional cemeteries reach full capacity and cremation raises environmental concerns due to high carbon emissions, Reunion offers a sustainable alternative. Using microbial composting, the deceased’s remains are transformed into nutrient-rich soil over a month. This soil is then used for tree burials in a serene forest park. In addition, Reunion integrates generative AI to help families reconnect with their loved ones. By analyzing photos, voice recordings, and videos, the system recreates a 3D hologram and voice of the deceased, allowing families to see and hear them once more. Reunion blends cutting-edge technology with nature, offering a respectful and meaningful farewell that minimizes environmental impact while keeping memories alive. It is a new, sustainable way to say goodbye and celebrate life.
