HELIO-SHADE addresses the growing risks of extreme heat exposure among outdoor workers, particularly elderly individuals in the agricultural sector. As climate conditions worsen, heat-related illnesses have become more frequent, demanding functional solutions that are both protective and accessible. This wearable hat incorporates flexible solar panels within its wide brim, generating power for an integrated cooling fan and a USB charging port. The design emphasizes lightweight structure, breathable materials, and ergonomic fit, ensuring comfort during extended use in the field. Beyond simple shading, HELIO-SHADE offers active cooling and device-charging capabilities, merging renewable energy technology with wearable utility. It is a response to both environmental challenges and social vulnerability—designed to support physical well-being while empowering outdoor workers through innovation.
