BrailleMate: A Revolutionary Solution for Braille Writing of the Visually Impaired. Through investigations and interviews with teachers and students in blind schools, it is found that traditional Braille tools restrict the writing efficiency and safety of the visually impaired due to problems such as difficult positioning and safety hazards of needle tips. BrailleMate adopts a "stamping-style" design to form Braille dots at one time, solving the positioning problem of middle dots; the hidden needle tip eliminates the risk of injury when blind children play, making it safer for them; the main body is made of renewable PHA material, which can be rapidly biodegraded. With a pure physical structure requiring no energy, its cost is similar to that of traditional tools. Practical tests show that especially for beginners, writing becomes easier, efficiency is significantly improved, and positioning time is reduced. This design not only provides a fair, convenient and safe writing experience for the visually impaired, but also promotes sustainable development with its environmental-friendly design.
