Corbit is a transparent display-based sleep care service designed for parents and children practicing separation sleep. In East Asian cultures, while awareness of the need for independent sleep is increasing, it remains difficult to implement in reality. Parents often worry—will the child feel lonely? Could something go wrong during the night? Corbit addresses these concerns through a transparent display wall that functions as both a barrier and a screen. It helps reduce anxiety by providing emotional reassurance and sleep support, allowing families to feel connected even while physically apart. Installed between the parent’s and child’s rooms, the wall becomes transparent or displays information depending on the situation, enabling real-time monitoring of the child. If the child wakes up or shows signs of distress during sleep, Corbit responds automatically via its integration with a smart bed—playing white noise, gently rocking, or adjusting the temperature. Parents receive mobile alerts instantly and can review detailed sleep reports showing when the child woke up and how deeply they slept. The sleep environment—including lighting, temperature, and humidity—can be freely adjusted through the display wall, mobile device, or smartwatch. By supporting physical separation while maintaining emotional connection, Corbit offers a smart sleep environment that promotes both child independence and restful sleep for parents.
