Pregnant women often experience pain in their back, waist, pelvis, and wrists. As pregnancies increase after the age of 30 and miscarriage rates remain high, concerns about the baby's health and psychological stress grow stronger. Therefore, careful and safe physical and emotional support is essential. Traditional massage chairs are not designed for the changing body shape and sensitivity of pregnant women, often causing discomfort and anxiety. Todak reimagines the Korean traditional prenatal philosophy of caring for both body and mind, offering a nurturing experience where pregnant women can care for themselves and feel happiness. The chair is designed based on pregnant body measurements to safely massage the back, waist, and pelvis. A rotating triangular massage module, inspired by hand massage techniques, uses both its edges and corners to deliver gentle and deep massages simultaneously. Todak also provides emotional comfort through calming sound content that combines traditional ASMR and meditation music. It creates an immersive healing space where pregnant women can care for their bodies and minds beyond simply relieving pain.
