The Metropolitan Forestation Structure (MFS) proposes an innovative approach to reclaim highly dense urban areas for nature. This temporary structure operates in phases to minimize disruptions, including demolition, waste collection, compaction, and planting. It functions akin to a printing machine, systematically converting urban spaces strip by strip. During conversion, the MFS provides temporary office and residential spaces to mitigate inconvenience for existing residents. Automated processes in the planting sector facilitate vegetation growth, while the waste collection sector manages debris and dust. The compacting sector prepares the ground, and the demolishing sector clears existing structures efficiently. The MFS is designed for seamless movement and circulation of vegetation, supporting the transition from urban to green spaces. This proposal aims to harmonize urban life with nature, offering a scalable solution adaptable to various metropolitan environments. Its modular and bay-based design ensures flexibility and scalability, addressing urban environmental challenges while promoting sustainable, green city landscapes.
