CANSEE is an innovative AI-based robotic guide dog designed to assist the visually impaired through enhanced mobility and interaction capabilities. Unlike traditional animal service dogs, CANSEE integrates advanced AI and robotics to independently navigate various environments. The four-legged design mimics the movements of a dog, allowing it to traverse stairs, sidewalks and obstacles that traditional wheeled products for the visually impaired struggle with. A standout feature of CANSEE is its human-friendly design, including eyes for natural interaction, reducing anxiety and wariness around inanimate robots and self-driving cars. Streamlined, symmetrical shapes further promote trust and acceptance. In addition to guiding the visually impaired, CANSEE provides functions that traditional guide dogs cannot, such as detecting and responding to traffic lights, escalators, elevators, and restricted areas. Additionally, the handle located at the top provides an immediate warning of danger through vibration and conveys what you see and hear through voice, helping visually impaired people recognize their surroundings. By combining AI and robotics with thoughtful user-centered design, CANSEE aims to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people and integrate them seamlessly into human society.
