This project aims to redefine perceptions of neurodiversity, particularly ADHD, emphasizing it as more than a disability, but a topic requiring greater understanding and accommodation. The book's design features just two pages, opening only to 90 degrees, symbolizing society's limited grasp of neurodiversity. The second page lies flat with a small circle and a task: place a glass and pour water. Designed in Op Art style, the visuals utilize optical illusions that continuously distract the viewer. Patterns mimic flowing water, creating a dynamic and visually engaging experience. As the viewer attempts the simple task, Op Art elements surrounding the circle and throughout the book disrupt focus. Even reflections on the glass distort, mirroring the challenges individuals with ADHD face in maintaining attention. Through this interactive approach, the project enables viewers to empathize indirectly with the ADHD experience. By confronting distractions and illustrating attention difficulties, the design prompts reflection on the need for inclusive understanding and support for neurodiverse individuals in everyday environments.
