Lately, I have started to notice that almost all of my peers and students I know are at least mildly obsessed with or addicted to social media. I thought the most concerning issue among all was the exposure to short Youtube or Tiktok videos of growing children, whose brain structures and cognitive abilities are in the middle of development. Upon finding out how watching short online videos can cripple children's mental health, I realized that it is of vital importance to educate school children on this problem. Through simplified explanations and interactive diagrams of brains disrupted by online addiction, this book explores the detrimental effects of mobile addiction to children's neurological development and cognitive abilities. I hope this book would raise children's awareness on the importance of limiting their own screen time in order to promote as many kids' healthy psychological and cognitive growth as possible.
