"Seoulfull" delves into Seoul's evolution from its sacred origins to its contemporary form, employing a folding screen as a poignant metaphor. Traditionally used in the Jesa ritual to honor ancestors, this screen serves as a symbolic bridge linking the living with spiritual heritage. The project pays homage to five generations, offering comfort to families navigating temporal disconnection. It acts as a liminal space, gracefully merging Seoul's historical essence with its modern identity. Through eulogies and elegies, "Seoulful" captures the essence of Seoul's journey, reflecting on the city's rich cultural tapestry while contemplating its ongoing transformation. The folding screen metaphor underscores the project's thematic depth, portraying Seoul not just as a physical city but as a continuum of spiritual and cultural heritage, resonating with both nostalgia and reverence for its past.
