Proper handwashing is an important step to prevent getting sick and spreading pathogens to others. Eighty percent of most infectious diseases are spread through contact with others, and proper handwashing with soap is an essential part of preventing infection and disease. However, these traditional handwashing steps are all done with two hands, and people with upper limb amputations struggle to perform the steps with one hand. Starting from the starting point of one hand filling in for the other, Handy incorporated the curvaceous form of the hand into the product. By creating a 'ㄷ'-shaped device to fulfill the role of the other hand, Handy aims to propose a one-handed handwashing manual, moving away from the two-handed handwashing prescribed in the past, and delivering a convenient time for a wider variety of people.
