SW Chelsea Streetscape Collection It is a custom line of street furniture for a neighborhood in New York. The collection was inspired by the industrial buildings in the area and Chelsea Market, the High Line, the Meat Packing District and the city at large. It is composed by: façade lamps that provide light for pedestrians; a parking regulation sign system with custom graphics that are easy to read and comprehend; trees with planting areas and tree-guards that provide a transition between the urban spaces and the parks in the area; internally illuminated streetsigns that can be read from a block away, and 45 gallon litter receptacles with accent stainless steel panels. The collection systematically addresses the most annoying and universal urban problems with simple but effective solutions. When these solutions are installed at the same time the influence on the quality of life of the neighborhood is quite significant.
