Peripheral Arterial Disease affects millions, raising risks for heart attack, stroke, and amputation. Pathway Medical Technologies developed an innovative, adjustable-diameter cutting tip that removes plaque without causing trauma to arterial walls. The system pumped saline into the cutting site while also suctioning out a debris-filled mix of saline and blood. It needed significant refinement to minimize complexity and ensure safe treatment. Pathway enlisted us to help develop this into a safe, easy-to-use system.
