Our workspaces have changed. With increased access to a variety of digitized tools, we control our work and calendar app and check notes on the same screen. We repeat Alt+Tab to switch screens in order to check other information and then return to our work, which interrupts workflow. We need a new working experience on the desk to include advanced ways of writing notes, managing schedules, and keeping our work organized. Enlighten is a smart desk lamp, consisting of two adjustable projects covering the wall and the desk separately and a depth camera that trace users’ movements. By turning any surface into a smart surface, users are able to directly interact with a computer with their hands. Users can enlarge their screen and display contents around the desk. Information can be imported as data from a document by selecting the necessary parts with their finger. Enlighten can also show contents from your smartphone and laptop on the desk, which allows users to keep track of notes, sketches or drawings in a simple way. Enlighten enables users to improve work efficiency and enhance privacy when the device is turned off, all while keeping the desk clean and neat.
