The Cisco Meraki MV series is a line of innovative commercial security cameras that streamline installation and video monitoring. The cameras employ state of the art edge storage and cloud processing to enable features like motion search and motion recap, eliminating the need for cumbersome network video recording equipment. MV cameras double as sensors, with activity heat mapping and machine learning, allowing the user to understand and optimize their spaces. Though public cameras are becoming ubiquitous, they are often poorly designed and intimidating eyesores. Cisco Meraki’s objective was to design an elegant and friendly line: we flipped the standard security camera form by designing a low profile bowl shape. The lens bubble appears as a glassy, black, liquid, contained by the white bowl, differentiating the brand from the industry standard dome camera. Functional aspects of the product line are exceptional, offering robust physical security, flexible mounting and lens adjustment. The construction is efficient, with structural PC/ABS parts fastened to the inside of the lower bowl, capped by the twist and lock lens bubble. The entire line is IK10 vandal-proof and includes outdoor, weather-proof models. Every aspect of the MV camera line was designed with Meraki's eye for detail.
