Undergoing an MRI exam can be a stressful experience for children. Philips Pediatric Coaching is a holistic solution that aims to prepare and guide children at home, in the waiting room in the hospital, and during the procedure. It consists of a gamified mobile app, an educational miniature scanner, and guidance inside the MRI scanner. With this solution, parents can know what to expect, children can be empowered and well-prepared, and doctors are supported in getting the high-quality images they need for diagnosis. At home, children playfully learn about MRI with the help of Ollie and friends. In an interactive game, children help Ollie and friends undergo a scan, learn why it is important to lie still, and explore the scanner in AR. At the hospital, the child meets up with Ollie and friends at the educational miniature scanner. And when it is time to have their own scan, Ollie and the familiar voice guides them through the scan. With this solution, parents can know what to expect, kids can be empowered and well-prepared, and their doctors are supported in getting the high-quality images they need for their diagnosis.
