"Mutating Guest House" is a spatial configuration proposal. A configurable guest house where, according to the needs and demand, spaces can be extended, diverted, and altered to fit the requests. By implementing the 'origami' as 'doors' in modern architecture that connect two different spaces, "Mutating Guest House" allows a flexible alteration of areas and their layout. Within the proposal, there are five different configurations. When the guest house is unused, it acts as an installation art piece of two-by-two squares that evenly lights up at night. When the house is reconfigured, the owner can choose between a tea house, outdoor barbeque, single-room guest, and a spatial layout for when more than two rooms are required.
