Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania and the 6th largest in the U.S., has a population of over 1.6 million residents, including a diverse and historically significant ethnic composition. As a hub for immigrants, 10.9% of the city's residents are immigrants. However, the city faces high poverty and crime rates, a declining real estate market, above-average unemployment, and significant residential segregation. This project aims to suggest solutions to connect the divided city and create better public spaces in the segregated areas, fostering better mental health and more collaborative opportunities. The project is divided into three phases. Phase 1 aims to create smaller parks in underdeveloped areas of the city to bring up the level of equality. Phase 2 aims to connect the segregated neighborhoods and promote a new narrative for the city. Finally, Phase 3 aims to revive the town as one community through different public events and activities.
