Hangul is a letter that can be read as it sounds. Babies who encounter Hangul recognize it only by letters and learn the principles of creation and sound of Hangeul by imitating the cries of animals as they sound, not by touching Hangul. Just as babies learn how to live in the world by imitating their mothers and fathers, babies learn by imitating the pronunciation, voices, and actions that their mothers and fathers read.
