"Tracing" is a typography design project created specifically for the packaging of tracing paper. The aim is to go beyond functionality and promote creativity and self-expression. The design follows a minimalist approach, capturing the essence of tracing paper while incorporating a balance of boldness and delicacy. The inspiration for "Tracing" came from an exploration of various typefaces. The designer sought to find a font that aligned with their vision, focusing on strokes with both thickness and thinness. This discovery ignited the creative process, leading to numerous sketches and experiments with contrasting elements. Through careful iterations, the designer aimed to evoke a range of emotions with the typeface. The goal was to convey strength and boldness alongside fragility and softness. Achieving this balance required meticulous attention to detail, refining the design layer by layer. The result is "Tracing," a typeface that combines boldness and delicacy, creating a unique and captivating aesthetic. "Tracing" serves as a testament to the designer's commitment to capturing contrasting qualities. Its bold and delicate nature encourages individuals to express themselves freely, using the tracing paper as a conduit for their ideas and inspirations, embracing creativity without reservation.
