In contrast to competitive products, Source provides unprecedented choice in quality. With a combination of 5 color and material options, the consumer can choose which would best fit within their décor and lifestyle. Source’s sleek, monolithic shape creates a visual clarity that reflects the simplicity and accessibility of the technology within. Just as the carbonating process takes raw tap water and creates a refined beverage, the design itself echoes the transformative nature of the machine. A key part of the design and experience is the one-handed slider block interaction, for easy and efficient use. The sides and back of the product are clean and simple, while the front concave portion that houses the bottle features a myriad of water droplets creating a complex surface texture. The bottle itself has an iconic shape, moving away from the generic design of its predecessor, while maintaining the physical qualities necessary for safe carbonation. The SodaStream Source with no cords, clean lines and sculpted transitions, truly fits any countertop. The Source requires no electricity; turn tap water into sparkling water in under 30 seconds. From the user interaction to the form factor of Source, we wanted to be sure the experience was distilled down to a single step; instead of having to screw the bottle in manually, a single-handed push locks it in place, ensuring safety and security with each round of carbonation. Backlit LEDs on the front surface indicate the level of carbonation as it is happening, giving consumers choice in their decor and lifestyle.
