Our planet is poisoned by global warming, and we need to use our voice to draw attention to these issues and encourage those around us to be sustainably conscious and actively seek ways to give back to our planet and ease the harm we are causing it. For a university projected I created the festival "above and beyond" which aims to be the most environmentally friendly in Victoria; as a designer, I aimed to reflect the values of the festival to festivalgoers, encourage people to come and support the festival whilst influencing those to think sustainably. There is no better way to bring people together than with music. This festival will be a celebration of our planet and show people that we need to put in the effort to heal the environment around us. Initiatives the festival will be utilising are an environmental pledge that users have to agree to before finalising their ticket purchase, instead of merchandise iron-on t-shirt decals will be available for purchase online to encourage attendees to re-use clothing they already have. A reusable cup will be handed out to those attending the festival that will be used for drinks throughout the festival.
