We collaborated with a tech company to produce a vision animation for a prototype software product to enable fresh graduates to collect and curate their professional credentials, connect with communities, and share their achievements to advance their careers. Our role was to visualise what the product would mean to its target audience and serve as inspiration for the software developers as they continued to add features and develop their ideas. The animation could later fulfil the role of a prototype launch video. Our client asked that we avoid limiting ourselves to its conception of the software and, instead, tell a story of what we would like it to do. Considering the needs of burgeoning professionals and hiring companies, we leveraged our design training to illustrate the app's relevance to career-minded youth. Inspired by Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away, we told a story of our audience accompanying the main character as she partners with Ollie to journey through life. This concept "sparks" as it is not your typical fast-paced launch video. This project involved a cross-disciplinary effort to produce a visioning idea, script, graphics, animation, sound, and music.
