Hammerhead is a web-controlled underwater drone system for the open public's ocean investigation via pure interest. Being the biggest place of life and resource, the ocean is crucial for the sustainability of the planet itself. Nowadays, accelerating climate change and pollution is destroying the ocean. And our care and attention is needed for the ocean to sustain and recover. In this project, design's goal was to become a door opener that guides people to be 'interested', so primary objective was to provide people with a method of vibrant ocean experience. The concept is a game-like ocean exploration in real life that can be done by simply accessing the online website. In Hammerhead.com, users can swim around the ocean and enjoy the scenery through the real drone. High-speed satellite network is utilized so the drone can be controlled regardless of the user's physical location. As the website provides an archiving system of photoshoot and filters optimized for sharable mediums, a spontaneous PR effect among the user community is expected. Through the experience of meeting marine life and exploring coastal areas, users will feel the ocean as is, and this will gradually lead to more interest and contribution toward ocean prevention.
