Deaf individuals who cannot speak or hear often face difficulties in communicating with healthcare professionals during the healthcare process. This communication barrier leads to a significant number of deaf individuals experiencing healthcare exclusion, resulting in limited access to healthcare services and a lack of guarantee for their right to health. To address this issue, CareOn proposes a healthcare assistance approach that considers the communication methods and characteristics of deaf individuals, using AR glasses and a mobile application. The AR glasses serve as a substitute for hearing, providing speech-to-text (STT) functionality and presenting healthcare information in an easily understandable manner. The mobile application assists with the role of speaking, reducing the burden of written communication and enabling deaf individuals to ask questions without hesitation. Additionally, CareOn provides crucial healthcare information to ensure a more satisfactory healthcare experience throughout the entire healthcare process, thereby contributing to the guarantee of their right to health.
